Silly Segards

Here are some new pics of our fam.  Some are a little silly.  :)  For those of you who have been to our house you know that there is a vent between the bathroom floor and the kitchen ceiling.  Charlotte's new favorite thing is to smoosh her face to the grate and say hello to us.  She gets a super cute pig nose!  The next pic is of Ty who was so tired one night he decided to put himself to sleep and apparently forgot a part of the process.  Next down the line are a couple of Charlotte again.  I found her standing on the table covered in Thousand Island dressing.  I think she was really enjoying herself!  Total Segard!  Can I get a Hosford witness here?  And last but not least, I had to show off my eldest daughters fashion skills.  Wicked huh?!  Yeah, pretty cool!  And yes, we did let her go to school that way. :)

Halloween '08

So much fun, what can we say?  This year was a little more quiet than most but still alot of fun.  Sophie was Padme Amidala, Ty was a Clone Trooper and Charlie was Chewbacca.  (I hope my spelling is correct.)  Unfortunately with my absent mindedness I seem to have not taken pictures of Sophie and Thys.  Actually, come to think of it I did, but I did see Ty playing with the camera and I noticed that he took a bagillion pictures and I'm wondering if he deleted some.  Stinker!  Oh, and Mike and I  are rockers in case anyone wondered. :)

Nose picking and such

O.K.  This is just too funny to keep to myself. The other day we were eating shells and cheese, (a carb healthy lunch of course:) and Charlotte would not stop putting her finger up her nose.  I tried to make her stop but there was some magical connection between her cheese coated finger and her boogie filled nose.  Go figure.  She's such a ham now too.  She loves getting her picture taken so now whenever the camera is out she starts cheesing it up.  This other picture I took was because she saw the camera and expected me to take her picture.  Instead of turning the camera on because I was too lazy I just pretended that I was taking it.  She's too smart for me though because she knew it wasn't on.  Every time I put the camera down she had this look of sour disappointment.  So I had just had to take a legitimate picture.  I couldn't let my little darling down. :)

Fun times with Grammie!

Sophie is sooooo into creating new hair styles right now.  Mom watches the kids for me on Friday's when I work so she has been the latest victim.  I hope you all enjoy the "do" the way that Kristi and I have! :)  (It took Kristi some doing to get all the hair ties, bows and barette's out.)

I just had to brag about our daughter.  We went to Dick's a couple weekends ago and our little (well not so little) 5 year old  decided to climb the rock wall there.  My oh my she climbed right to the top and hit the buzzer, lickity cut!  We were so proud!

Sophie and Thys had a great first day of school!  Ty would not stop dancing in front of the rock and the highlight to him was circle time.  Of course, like most men though I could not get many details out of him.  Sophie was SOOO excited to ride the bus for the first time!  She hardly slept the night before.  Everything went great at school.  There were a few glitches though.  In gym a little boy ran into her while playing sharks and minnows and gave her a bloody nose.  At the end of the day her teacher forgot to get her on the bus to go home so Mike had to go get her.  She was extremely disappointed  that she didn't get the second bus ride.  She seems to be very excited to go though because she keeps asking me when she gets to go back!

Leaky Faucet

Our numero dos has what we call a leaky faucet.  We were at a soccer camp for Sophie the other night and he suddenly HAD TO GO!!!!  These are a couple pictures of that episode.  Can four year olds get in trouble for public indecency? 

Pentwater

As many of you know, we spend a lot of time during the summer in Pentwater.  These are some cute pics of the bambinos there and the lovely sky!  Ahhhhhh... summer.

Witness?

Can I get a witness?  There is nothing cuter than a naked baby... especially when that baby has a lot of rolls!  I could just eat her up!

Fredrick Meijer Garden

We had a fantastic day at the gardens today.  We went with my mom (Nana), my sister Jaclyn and my niece and nephew Olivia and Colton.  It was so much fun for the kids.  It didn't hurt either that it was a gorgeous day.  Not to brag... but isn't my mom hot?  She certainly doesn't look like she could be a Nana to five grandchildren.

Big Stud Mike and Mike

O.K.  I know that once in a while camera's aren't always a great way to put things into perspective.  This would be one of those times.  This is my Mr. Stud on top of the roof next door using a sledge hammer to knock down the chimney from the roof.  Yeah, it's a two story.  You can't see Mike Richardson, but he's there too making sure that no one gets obliterated by flying debris.  I'm soooo happy our life insurance policy is up to date.

Meyers Lake

I took the kids to Meyers Lake last week.  I'm not from Rockford originally so it was a first time for all of us there.  It was great!!!  Plus the fact that it's only 15 minutes from our house makes it even more great.  :)  I think we're going to have to check more of the lakes Rockford has to offer.

Thys' 4th birthday has not officially come yet.  (It comes later this month.)  We did however have  a celebration for him already.  I'm sure you all know how hard it is to get a group together in the middle of the summer.  P.S.  Thanks Grandma Boersma for the awesome hat!  You have mad knitting skills woman!

I cannot believe our little Charlie is already ONE!!!!!  We had a couple celebrations to ring in the first year of her birth.  This past year has just blown right by.  I feel the older I get the faster they all go.  I'm just going to cling on to the these moments and kiss my kiddies more than they wish that I would kiss them!

What's better than when the little ones fall asleep after a hard day of play and Mommy and Daddy get to talk for a little while?  Not much.

This is our beautiful babe, Charlotte and her handsome daddy.  We had a great vacation in the sunny Florida Keys this past May.  We got to see our friend Paige and  Mike's brother Andy and his lovely family.  Unfortunately we hardly saw Mike. :(
